Reported Friday, 11 October 2024 at 11:22 am, Mairehau Rd near Putake Dr, Canterbury 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This area is in desperate need of a pedestrian refuge island. I’ve just been watching about 20 elderly people trying to cross the road from the wetlands to the cafe. Someone is going to get hit by a car as the cars coming along Mariehau Road are going faster than the posted 50km.
