Roads - General
Reported Friday, 18 October 2024 at 11:10 am, 9 Ayr Street, Riccarton, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Dangerous “Temporary Traffic Management” Private building works on Ayr St are dangerous for pedestrians on the footpath on south side: - two 2 1/2 foot deep holes next to and extending partially across footpath “protected” by wooden pallets - no fence, no strong covering. - excavator buckets left on footpath forcing peds towards one of these holes. - Footpath Closed signs taken down last night for works and not put back up (thereby exposing peds to these building site hazards).
