General Request
Reported Tuesday, 29 October 2024 at 1:20 pm, 276 Marine Parade, New Brighton, Christchurch 8061, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The Rodney St beach access used to be timber boards with non slip mesh. Recently this was removed and replaced with loose, sharp stones. Access is approx 45deg slope and these stones are nearly impossible to walk on without shoes. People wanting to enjoy this part of the beach, especially children are going to find this quite challenging considering people normally go to the beach without footwear. There has been zero sense applied to this solution and it needs to remediated.
