Graffiti on a sign, mural or public art
Reported Sunday, 3 November 2024 at 4:29 pm, 42 Britannia Street, North New Brighton, Christchurch 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Two street signs for Britannia Street have been vandalised. The first (pictured) was torn off its lamp post at the T-junction between Britannia Street and Pandora Street. I actually have it at my home, 50 Britannia Street, so that it wasn’t taken. The second is at the Beach Road T-junction. It is still mounted but has had several letters painted over in dark brown paint on both sides of the sign making it illegible.
