Trees - General
Reported Monday, 9 December 2024 at 9:31 pm, 24 Pewter Place, Northwood, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
In the high wind a large branch broke off the tree on my grass verge and fell across my drive way just after I had driven into my garage late last night after work. These trees are very brittle and dangerous in high winds. Other branches large and small came off in the street. The trees are far too big now. The roots are pushing up the footpath outside my house in two places. The amount of leaves in autumn is ridiculous. Would ideally like two trees removed as dangerous, too close to house.
