Roads - General
Reported Tuesday, 10 December 2024 at 5:14 pm, 39 Leverett Place, North New Brighton, Christchurch 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Land transport rules 2004 state that a car cannot park within 1 metre of a driveway, we constantly get people parking over our driveway as the curb between us and number 41 is only 4m long leaving a 2m allowable parking space which doesn’t legally allow most cars to park there. Since it’s already insufficient space how about making it official and painting yellow lines at the end of the street outside 39 and 41 Leverett place so we aren’t trying to manoeuvre around illegally parked cars daily.
