Roads - General
Reported Saturday, 14 December 2024 at 9:13 pm, 119 Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
10-20m of dense loose gravel (covering entire width of bike lane, approx 2.-3cm deep) in bike lane on eastward direction No warning or signs. Presumably this gravel is related to nearby resurfacing works There is no safe way to avoid this other than going into car lane or onto footpath, both not ideal. Crashed my bike causing minor injuries due to this, earlier today. This is a safety issue.
