Roading/Streets

The reporter’s words
Hi. Please can the owners or occupants of 18 Richmond Avenue be advised not to park their vehicles (2) in the bus stop. There are 4 vehicles at the property and they don't use the garage. I understand their inconvenience that they would need to park them a short distance away. However. This is a matter of safety. There are usually school children at this bus stop at this time about 7:40, and at the next bus time about 7:55. The bus driver cannot see us unless we actually stand in the middle of the road. Yesterday the driver didn't see us (not his fault) and he had to stop suddenly. The buses are forced to stop in the middle of the load lane. This is also dangerous for the bus and passengers, other traffic, and those getting on the bus. This property is a 'repeat offender'. They used to have a full sized bus of their own parked there. Currently, they park a small yellow car and a big van on the bus stop. It's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Thank you for auctioning something or suggesting who I should take this matter to. Kind Regards Hayley Stewart
