Playground Equipment
Reported Wednesday, 5 February 2025 at 9:12 pm, Fern Drive Reserve Playground Fern Drive, Halswell, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Lack of bark in playground resulting in exposed sharp tree roots right under the ending of tunnel slide. Lack of bark is also making for unsafe landing heights for toddlers coming off this slide. You can see sun fading where the previous bark level has been. Blue line in pic 3 shows height of slide being too high without bark under, and exposed tree root underneath (circled).
