The reporter’s words

We all experienced the storm winds on Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, a couple of trees on Northwood Boulevard could not withstand the onslaught and were pushed over. One fell against my wall, with all of its foliage hanging over my drive. This may be a good trigger for somebody to consider how strongly rooted these trees are along the boulevard, considering these trees were tipped over intact, taking their roots with them. We arrived home late that day, at exactly the time that some Treetech guys pulled up. They proceeded to cut up the trunk to clear the footpath, leaving some trunk pieces to pick up later, along with the foliage now lying in my driveway. Firstly, I think the Treetech guys do amazing work, regardless of time of day. They were obviously very busy on Wednesday night. As a result, I’m sure they have a long cleanup list, all over town. I am just wondering when they are likely to come to remove our unexpected Christmas tree from in front of our garage. I can, at a pinch, get my car in and out, so there is no drastic urgency. I just want an idea of timeframe, to be sure that somebody doesn’t think that because it’s now on my property it’s now my problem. The Treetech guy said they’d be back the next morning to munch the tree, but he may not have realised how busy the next morning would become.
