The reporter’s words

Poor drainage has created a swamp right beside the children’s play equipment at Centaurus Park, which has been steadily growing over the past year or so. It now actively seeps across the footpath that leads to St Martins School and into the grass on the other side of the footpath, which appears to also be on track to become another boggy pond. The footpath is used by multiple children accessing school, and today this section of the path was slippery with green pond slime, mosquitos breeding & duck effluent. I tried to avoid the slime by walking on the grass & it was so wet my jandal got stuck in the mud as I walked - on a 29 degree day after multiple days of great weather. This really needs to be rectified before the School reopens on 4th Feb!!
