The reporter’s words

There's a single juvenile giant hogweed growing on the edge of the Heathcote river immediately south of the Rose Street bridge. This is a nasty new weed with sap that can burn and scars human skin. it would be helpful if someone could remove it before it seeds. I've added an observation of the weed to iNaturalist NZ at https://inaturalist.nz/observations/20500141
