Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 5 March 2019 at 5:19 pm, Lincoln Road, Addington, 8011, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
You have a dedicated filter lane for traffic but no dedicated green filter light. Only TWO cars per change can make it through the oncoming traffic before the light turns red again. Cars are backed up to a ridiculous extent and people are performing dangerous manoeuvres to get through the traffic because cars have been sitting in that filter lane for over 25 minutes before getting to the front of the queue. Whoever works out the timings of these lights needs to factor in rush hour and the knock on effect of no dedicated green filter light for the traffic trying to turn right onto Lincoln Road.
