The reporter’s words
The phasing of the right green arrow at these traffic lights (intersection of Innes and Rutland) is not allowing enough time for cars travelling north on Rutland St to turn right. One car can turn at a time. Given this is a main thoroughfare from the city to the Northern motorway, cars are choosing to travel straight head and travel right through the suburban streets of St Albans. This needs to be remedied in order to discourage traffic commuting through St Albans Streets.
