Roads - General
Reported Saturday, 14 June 2025 at 9:21 pm, 100 McMahon Drive, Aidanfield, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Immediately after passing through the entrance to Nga Puna Wai from McMahon Dr., there are two locked farm gates. Traffic turns right to the car parks. However there is a real risk that people will not see those gates in time to avoid them, especially cyclists, and especially early morning (sun strike) or late evening as there are no reflectors on the gate and they're so hard to see. I have seen several near misses. Bollards would be better here.
