The reporter’s words
Hi. The temporary traffic cones around a building site on Strickland are a massive safety risk for cyclists. They divert bikes through two very sharp turns to join fast moving traffic, right in front of a central traffic island giving cars no space to go round them. The 30kmh sign is very close to all this so cars are still doing 50kmh. I spoke to the safety planner there and he was quite upset that I took photos or criticised his plan.
