The reporter’s words
This is a weir in the Henderson Sparks Road reserve. It is very difficult to identify it as a weir - sometimes the water covers it, and the water is covered by weed. A friend fell into it in June, while running, after a lot of rain, thinking it was part of the path covered by grass. It was completely covered in weedy water and she was lucky she didn’t hit her head. The signage that there is a weir, is at least 150m away from it. I think better signage would make it safer for people
