Traffic Signals
Reported Wednesday, 6 August 2025 at 9:27 am, 493 Moorhouse Avenue, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The traffic lights at the intersection of Moorhouse/Fitzgerald/Falsgrave Street run through 2 cycles after 8am and 4.30pm Mon to Friday before the vehicles waiting at the Falsgrave side of the lights can go. This causes long lines of traffic on Falsgrave Street and sometimes dangerous pedestrian traffic with people trying to cross the road without lights. All 4 roads into this intersection should have access during every light cycle.
