Road Blockage
Reported Wednesday, 13 August 2025 at 12:53 pm, Sparks Road, Hillmorton Christchurch , New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
As of Monday 11th August, temporary traffic management have put up road codes to reduce two/three lanes into one. This is causing significant delays in traffic moving from Halswell into the city. The traffic is backed all the way up to Halswell Road during the morning commute. There is no logical reason for this restriction of the lanes, as all traffic can still turn left, right and straight ahead. This is urgent, as all current roads into the city from Halswell are already reduced.
