Park - General Request
Reported Friday, 3 October 2025 at 12:59 pm, Canterbury, Diamond Harbour 8971, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Crossing the lower Sam’s Gully stream in flow is dangerous when walking across with two dogs on 1.5m leads as you have to navigate stepping on to high rocks to avoid slipping into the stream. The rocks can also get slippy so you need all hands to balance. There needs to be improvements to ensure safety when crossing the stream while holding onto dogs’ leads in both hands. A bridge of some sort needs to be constructed
