Trees - General
Reported Monday, 6 October 2025 at 8:44 am, Charteris Bay 8971, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There are a couple of massive gum trees with exposed roots on an eroded clay bank on the left hand side of the road on the hill past Charteris Bay as you head to town. There is widespread local concern about the hazard they potentially present, especially after this huge amount of rain in the last few days. Gums have been removed on the same spot for the same reason. Please could they be assessed and dealt with accordingly. Many thanks, Jill Mehalski
