The reporter’s words
It looks like the contractor has attempted to repair the defects to the chipseal. They have used asphalt; however, which creates differing levels of traction between chipseal and asphalt and it is my understanding that Council doesn’t generally allow differing materials like this on road repairs. It’s a shame the brand new chipseal was defective and not repaired with like for like (chipseal). Is this really a job well done with ratepayer funding? I think not
