Trees - General
Reported Saturday, 25 October 2025 at 5:49 pm, 161 Opawa Road, Hillsborough, Christchurch 8022, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This large conifer has been dying for years. The volunteers at the community garden have been told it needs to be removed, but it's council land and they are unsure how to get this done. In previous years it was still mostly green, but this year it looks worse than ever. Every time we have high winds I worry it will fall on the house next door. Could it please be cut down?
