General Request
Reported Thursday, 6 November 2025 at 3:09 pm, The Groynes Dog Park Groynes Drive, Northwood, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The Groynes dog park has signage at the river access points warning about a toxic algal bloom. These signs have been displayed for 3 years now, and most dog owners ignore them. I don't think it's reasonable to simply leave these signs up when there's clearly no toxic algal bloom in the water. That's obvious as it's used daily. If this is simply to indemnify Park Staff against possible future toxicity, then that's not a good enough reason. Remove them.
