Park - General Request
Reported Saturday, 8 November 2025 at 11:01 am, Carlton Mill Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8014, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Highly invasive spur valerian in full and protracted view of motorists as they queue at the traffic lights. Come on Urban Parks Department. When this environmental weed is so prominently, even it seems proudly displayed by you in a park setting like this it sets a terrible example! Be seen to do the right thing by removing (or at least deadheading) this scourge and then people might be persuaded not to grow it in their gardens from where its seeds fly to the Port Hills rock outcrops. Please.
