Halswell Quarry Dog Park is one of the only off-leash areas in Halswell for dogs to run and play fetch. For six months of the year (Nov–Apr) the grass is left to grow long, causing nasty seeds to get stuck in fur, eyes and noses leading to painful infections (and allergies) which result in vet visits. It’s disappointing that the park becomes unsafe and largely unusable for dog owners for half of the year. There is a dog in the last pic somewhere! Please mow and give us the dog park back!
