Water Pollution - Sediment
Reported Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at 6:13 pm, 162 Ilam Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The stream that flows through our property is one of the branches of Waimairi Stream. During the week I have noticed some discolouration/ muddiness of the water and today it was worse. I noticed it today in the early afternoon. The photos from the Barlow St bridge were taken at about 4.30 and the one from our property at 6.00. The ones taken on the bridge at Barlow St show the contrast between our muddy branch and other other clear branch.
