Roads - General
Reported Wednesday, 17 December 2025 at 9:07 am, 108 Lincoln Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
While crossing (as a pedestrian) 5 lanes of traffic at Lincoln road, I’ve had vehicles drive turn right in front of me (very close to striking myself, my wife or my dog) Are there any plans to create a median stopping area on Lincoln Road where it intersects Wrights-Lyttelton? I’ll note that the City side has 6 lanes of traffic which with impatient and in attentive drivers is even worse. (Meridian stopping area similar to the cycleway near where the motorway crosses above Lincoln road)
