Rubbish and Bins - General
Reported Tuesday, 30 December 2025 at 7:38 pm, 15 Washington Way, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Wheelie bin (yellow lid/ recycling) lives permanently on the street. It gets filled with rubbish (often not recyclables) and is an eyesore on the street. McDonalds should get a proper rubbish bin and the recycling bin should be removed if the property it is assigned to won’t manage it. It has been on the street for weeks! Presumably contaminating the recycling when emptied! So apparently this is ok but you threaten people for a tiny mistake in their recycling!!! WTF?!?
