Damaged Road
Reported Saturday, 10 January 2026 at 5:14 pm, 34 Evans Pass Road, Sumner, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Hi Team, thanks for all your help today. There is a very very bad area of damage to a newly laid asphalt section of loading on Evans pass Road. Cyclists coming down in the left lane heading towards the beach have nearly come off and a few years ago, a man died by hitting something on the road and coming off his road cycle. Could you please have someone urgently attend to this as it is opening up into a huge crevasse And we fear someone will be badly injured.
