Roads - General
Reported Monday, 19 January 2026 at 9:58 pm, 37 Trices Road, Halswell, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Such a dangerous section of road. When driving along Trices Rd, Trices Rd appears to carry on straight ahead but then you suddenly arrive at this sign "Straight Ahead Traffic Give Way" (when does straight ahead traffic ever give way?) and with no road markings, you have to come to an abrupt halt in case another car comes flying around the corner, of which there is no visibility. Proper right turning bay is required otherwise a serious accident is waiting to happen.
