Road Blockage
Reported Tuesday, 20 January 2026 at 2:01 pm, 6 Hazeldean Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The Tree People are removing vegetation between a building and the footpath on Harman Street in readiness for hoardings to be installed. The building at 6 Hazeldean Road is going to be repaired. Today the footpath was closed but there were no signs to warn pedestrians and the cones forced pedestrians and other vulnerable users into the cycle lane at the curve on Harman Street where vehicles travel along the street at speed. Pedestrians were not given a safe crossing point across the road.
