Reported Wednesday, 28 January 2026 at 8:52 pm, Barrington St near Bewdley St, Canterbury Region 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There is a blind/low vision person with a guide dog who uses this street every day. He cannot navigate this closed footpath. His dog cannot figure it out (they are taught not to put their person on the road). Please do something to sort it. At present he gets stuck here, and it isn't fair. The issue is repeated at the other end of the closed footpath when they try to get home. I imagine it's a traffic management/CCC responsibility.
