The reporter’s words

This section of footway is nearly always wet, if not actually flooded. The adjacent stream does not help, but there is no way for the path to drain and dry out quickly. Walkers have either to go through the mud, or slip and slide on the grassy parts, or go out on the edge of the road seal (because the road berm is also muddy). All of these options are dangerous to a greater or lesser degree. Perhaps there is an option to pave through the low part with raised concrete slabs or similar, to get above the worst of it. I'm sure the Council team could think of something ??
