Noise - General
Reported Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at 8:41 pm, 11 Branston Street, Hornby, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
We are being subject to a brutal onslaught of loud heavy trucks zooming past our house well past midnight - they are coming from the Higgins bitumen plant at the other end of Branston Street, not using the Halswel Junction Road exit as they should. Residents need sleep, and these trucks are absolutely ruining that! Between 23:08 03/03/36 and 00:09 04/03/26 I recorded 26 heavy truck movements entering from, or exiting to Amyes Road.
