Street Gutters / Storm Water
Reported Saturday, 14 March 2026 at 5:27 pm, 16 Ridder Place, Halswell, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The storm water outlet from our house is partially blocked by tree roots. Water blast Canterbury took a photo which shows the roots and the crack in the pipe where they have entered. The other photo has a red dot which shows where the break is on the footpath. This has been repaired in the past but somehow the roots have re-entered the pipe. As a result there is flooding around the house with moderate to heavy rainfall. The pipe join needs to be repaired
