The reporter’s words

This rubbish bin has not been cleared since Monday 12 August, despite 2 requests to Council in the last 4 days to have it attended to. it is a disgrace - but totally in keeping with Council's total disregard for the Millbrook Reserve, the adjoining residents and the large number of citizens that visit the reserve. The graffiti is symptematic of the "who cares" attitude of Council towards the nightly mayhem by drunk and drug addled teenagers congregating in the carpark - wreaking havoc and leaving a huge mess most nights - especially Friday Saturday and Sunday. Who cleans it up every day? We do. The neighbours - who have missed half their sleep because of the drunken antics. CCC has a contract with Amourguard to close the gate each night. it has been only 3 times since July 2016. Council doesn't care - but as ratepayers we are sick of seeing our money squandered and our property values adversely affected.
