Pavement - General
Reported Saturday, 28 March 2026 at 2:49 pm, 1 Sabys Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Halswell junction road and Sabys road intersection’s new footpath and pedestrian crossing is a Safety Hazard. 1. The road has made unnecessarily narrower and makes it extra difficult for drivers to turn into the Sabys Road. Now footpath is wider than the road. 2. Why are there 2 footpaths when literally nobody is using this footpath? 3. Because the crossing is in an intersection, this is an increased hazard for people crossing road and vehicles turning into the junction at the same time
