Roading/Streets
Reported Thursday, 29 August 2019 at 2:27 pm, 312–436, McQueens Valley Road, Ataahua, 7672, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Hi, we have a round of deforestation occurring in the upper reaches of McQueens Valley, there is barely any traffic management and no traffic control on McQeens Valley Road/Gold Valley Road. There is 4k of sealed one lane road, and 1k of unsealed one lane road, with 7 blind corners. I have school visits, community visits and other people visiting me on bikes and in vehicles, as well as my normal traffic movements, I would prefer something is done before someone is hurt or injured. Supposedly 8-10 truck movements a day, there has been 15 I have seen today and this is only Day Four so they are just warming up.
