The reporter’s words
Post flood silt and post wind storm debris are coming our footpath and filling our gutters from Western Valley Road to Bayleys Road along the ChCh-Akaroa Road. wind stirs up the sikt creating a health issue and the debri will block the drains in the next rains. We have clean some outside our place and some of our neighbours but are not able to do the whole road and have no disposal for the silt and debri. It is also very hard to move the silt as it sticks to every surface.
