The reporter’s words

Leakage from pipes under the road (first photo) is causing widespread dampness in the area. The second photo indicates the spot where water is running off the road and onto our section at 140 Moncks Spur. It is puddling inside the boundary, spreading out under the ground over the flat area, and running down our fenceline then onto the neighbouring property. Please note that last year a section of tarmac collapsed in front of our gate. The ground had eroded beneath the asphalt surface, causing a vehicle to slump into the hole. That has since been repaired but we fear that the current situation may lead to more subterranean erosion on the road and in our properties.
