The flax bush obscures pedestrian view of turning cars which can be fast and low...despite the watch for pedestrians sign. Should be replaced by a rock or low growing plant. But visibility problem would be fixed by placing a mirror on a post on the pedestrian island... Or maybe even a marked crossing or speed bump.
