Trees - General
Reported Wednesday, 15 April 2026 at 3:09 pm, Canterbury, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Vandalism. Several macrocarpas appear to have been deliberately poisoned along the coastal path. If this is a deliberate council action please STOP! Macrocarpas are not “wilding pines” and provide lovely shade and oxygen. It takes decades to grow these wonderful trees and minutes to mutilate them. There is supposed to be a climate crisis.
