Pavement - General
Reported Saturday, 18 April 2026 at 4:58 pm, Ti Rakau Dr near Kestrel Pl, Canterbury Region 8023, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Transition from tarseal footpath to the Ti Rakau park path has a sharp turn off the footpath with stones splaying onto the footpath. Numerous kids have fallen off bikes and scooters recently. The path is made out of crusher dust or very small pebbles and the splayed stones are very slippery when spread over the tarseal path. Now swept clean (temporary fix). Sealing the first 2m of the park path would resolve the issue. A cheaper option may be the install of a channel drain to catch stones.
