Water General
Reported Monday, 20 April 2026 at 9:27 pm, 144 Chapter St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8052, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I have noticed earlier this year that our water had a slight brown tint to it. However, today at around 21:15 pm it looked really bad - iron from a rusty pipe? Magnesium? No idea but it’s not very nice looking tonight. It first looked readonably clear but then it became quite dark - no smell (no chlorine smell either), just discolouration. I just want to make sure it’s safe to drink and wash in. I don’t use the bath tub every day, but it’s never looked like this ….
