Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 27 July 2015 at 10:00 am, 9, Washbournes Road, Wigram, 8042, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
The grass areas at the end of Patrick street (behind Mairehau library and on the Kensington Ave side) recently finished as part of the Tay Street pump station are being destroyed. There are no barriers on Patrick Street and cars are parking on this turning it too mud. The walk way between the two streets is very wide but only has a small barrier at one end. Cars have driven through this walkway as a short cut and cut across the lawn by the pump station. This is extremely dangerous and is ruining all of the work recently completed. Barriers need to be installed to stop cars parking on the new grass and driving through the pedestrian walkway which is used by school children all the time.
