Traffic Signals
Reported Friday, 1 May 2026 at 8:25 am, Canterbury, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Hi, I’d like to raise a concern about the traffic signal timing for the Roydvale Avenue flow. The green light now lasts only about 5 seconds, which is very frustrating, especially during morning peak hours with school drop-offs and work traffic. A few months ago, it stayed green for around 10–15 seconds and traffic moved much better. Currently, it causes long queues and unnecessary delays. It would be greatly appreciated if this timing could be reviewed and adjusted to improve traffic flow.
