Trees - General
Reported Sunday, 3 May 2026 at 5:51 pm, 18 Kilburn Street, Bishopdale, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
the tree on the road was cut down last weekend. we saw the trailer of the person doing so and the other trees on the house site, including the large cabbage tree. the road tree, flowering cherry, I believe, was left with little left and was not trimmed by an abolish. this is what I believe is required to ensure the health of these lovely trees on this street. unfortunately I did not feel comfortable to photograph the trailer/car while people were actively working on the site.
