The reporter’s words

Hi, we have just noticed that there has been a pedestrian crossing (zebra) placed directly by the He Puna Taimoana. We feel that this is an hazard and not to NZTA road regulations, as it is unsafe for both - vehicles and pedestrians - and this may result in someone being hit by a car. “In New Zealand, a pedestrian crossing (zebra crossing) should generally be set back at least 6 metres from an intersection on urban roads.”
