Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Thursday, 4 June 2026 at 9:23 pm, 163 Deans Avenue, Riccarton, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There are often bins or scooters here, but the real problem is that cutting the hedge back left regrowth and a ridge of raised earth that is unusable as footpath. I often have to step into the roadway to make way for a group of suitcase wheeling tourists, or a rough sleeper with a shopping trolley... .with my back to traffic popping up fast around the corner. I am old and yesterday nearly fell on the road, when I tripped on a concrete block hidden in the leaves (uncovered in 2nd photo)
